1. Introduction

EveeShare ("we," "us," or "our") provides a platform that connects electric vehicle drivers with residential and commercial charger hosts. We are currently piloting in Santa Monica and expanding to additional regions. The app is available for download across the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, profile details, charger listings, booking activity, and communications with support.

Payment information is processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe). EveeShare does not store full credit or debit card numbers.

We may also collect device identifiers, app usage analytics, IP address, and approximate location data. Location data is used to enable charger discovery, navigation, booking validation, fraud prevention, and service improvements. Precise location is accessed only when required for core functionality, such as during active charging sessions, navigation to charger locations, or fraud prevention measures. Background location access, if enabled, is limited and user-controlled via device settings.

2.1 Identity Verification Information

Some users, particularly Drivers, may be required to submit identity verification information, including but not limited to government-issued identification documents, selfies, or similar information as requested by EveeShare. Identity verification is handled by third-party identity verification providers. EveeShare does not store raw identity documents unless required by law or compliance obligations.

2.2 Push Notification Tokens

We collect push notification tokens (Apple Push Notification service tokens for iOS devices and Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for Android devices) to deliver transactional, safety, and service-related notifications. These tokens are used exclusively for platform-related communications and are not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

2.3 Analytics and Diagnostics Data

We collect aggregated usage data, crash logs, and performance metrics to improve app reliability, identify technical issues, and enhance user experience. This data is used solely for service improvement purposes and is not used for targeted advertising or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the EveeShare platform, process bookings and payments, prevent fraud, provide customer support, and improve app performance. Location data is only used to support active sessions and nearby charger discovery.

We use push notification tokens to send you transactional notifications (such as booking confirmations and payment receipts), safety alerts, and service-related communications. Analytics and diagnostics data are used to improve app reliability, identify and resolve technical issues, and enhance overall platform performance.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share select information with hosts, drivers, payment processors, and trusted service providers as needed to operate the platform. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the platform and its users.

4.1 Host Address Sharing

Host addresses are not publicly visible in the app. A Host's full address is only shared with a Driver after the charger is booked and payment is completed, and only within 24 hours of the reservation start time. This helps protect Host privacy while ensuring Drivers can access the charger location when needed.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, or in response to valid requests from public authorities, including for national security or law enforcement purposes.

4.3 Business Transfers

Your Personal Information may be transferred or disclosed as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or other business transaction involving all or a portion of our business.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures to safeguard your data. While we work to protect your information, no system is entirely secure, and users should exercise caution.

6. Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary for operational, legal, or security purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time unless retention is required by law.

Certain information, including but not limited to payment records, dispute records, fraud prevention data, and information required for legal compliance, may be retained after account deletion as required by applicable law, regulatory requirements, or legitimate business interests.

7. Children's Privacy

EveeShare is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, modify, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. Requests can be submitted to support@eveeshare.com.

9. Regional Privacy Rights

If you are located in the United States, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

As we expand to additional regions, we will comply with applicable privacy laws in those jurisdictions, including Canadian privacy laws where applicable.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is protected in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of EveeShare after revisions constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
